| About Us |
Tayside Kidney Patients’ Association is run by patients, friends and families to help support Renal Patients in Tayside.
We have in the past provided funds for the purchase of TVs at the dialysis units at PRI and Ninewells, and we operate a luxury 8-berth caravan, at Tummel Valley, in rural Perthshire, for the use of patients and their families. This allows patients an opportunity to have a holiday away from home and hospital, at highly subsidised rates.
We also support patients on an individual basis, through our Transplant Aid program, where we give transplant recipients £150, to help with the cost of the expense of getting to and from Edinburgh, etc.
The Association actively fundraises through can collections and our popular “200Club” draw, and through Justgiving on the internet.
We meet on a monthly basis in Ninewells (usually in Seminar Room A to the right of the main entrance) on the last Wednesday of each month, at 6pm. Our meetings are very informal and all patients will be made very welcome if they want to come along.
